For Sale

We keep accurate breeding records, but just as an extra
precaution, our jennets are all ultrasounded at least once to verify their
pregnancy. We are almost always right on the money as to when they are due, but
occasionally we miss. Whenever our foals are born, they are imprinted at birth
and for the first week of their lives, they are handled many times each day. We
want them to be friendly and personable and easy to handle from the start. At
birth, they get an enema, have their navels dipped, and receive a tetanus
antitoxin shot. Sometimes we give ¼ cc of E-SE if we think it is necessary. It
is always a hard decision to sell a foal because they are all so wonderful,
however, it is a given that some will leave us. They are sold with Registration
Papers (or Registration forms applied for), health certificates if sold out of
state, negative Coggins test and very complete health records. We usually wean
between 4 and 6 months of age and a folder with all pertinent information and
photos goes with each donkey.
While our primary focus is on selling
foals, we occasionally have brood jennets or yearlings for sale and sometimes we
will sell a jennet/foal pair. Check with us to see what is available.
We think you will find the perfect miniature
donkey at Full
Moon Farm if you scroll down the page.

gray and white spotted with gray saddle and sorrel
ears
DOB: 9-13-07
Dam: Hopper’s Joye, gray dun, 31 ½”
Sire: G&D’s Little Artic Man, white with a few
gray spots, 31 ½”
Jypsy was born very early on a Thursday morning in a
foaling stall and she was still wet when Fred discovered her. After a run
of jack foals, we were elated to have a jennet. Jypsy's mother is our
original, much loved jennet, Joye. Jypsy is lovely to look at and has
beautiful markings and although Joye has a spotted foal every year, Jypsy
is unusual in that she has more gray and long sorrel ears. Jypsy
is weaned and ready for a new home.

TSB Full Moon Ezekiel
DOB: 9-2-07
Dam: Derbytown’s Bravo Ebony, black, 32”
Sire: G&D’s Little Artic Man, white with a few
gray spots, 31 ½”
Ezekiel, (Zeke for short) is a perfect foal in every
way. His conformation is perfect, he has a perfect bite and he has a
wonderful spot pattern of gray and white. His hair coat is silky like
his dam’s, Ebony. Ebony likes to keep him close to her, but he has a
mind of his own and he loves to play with the other foals. He has
imprinted beautifully and is one of our friendliest foals. His dam,
Ebony, is a gorgeous, shiny black jennet and with Zeke’s white and gray
spotted sire, we are sure he will throw either black or spots. Who
knows, someday he may sire a black and white spotted foal! If you
check Ebony’s pedigree on our Brood Jennets page, you will discover that her
dam is brown and white spotted and her sire is brown/gray and white spotted.
You can expect great things from Zeke. He will be weaned in early
winter and you can reserve him now. He will add excellent conformation
to your herd.

TSB Full Moon Tiny Tim |

TSB Full Moon Tiny Tim
DOB: 8-4-07- 26 1/2" at 3 months
Dam: OGF JuJu, gray dun, sorrel highlights, 32”
Sire: Sunset Acres Shenandoah, brown, height
unknown (no mature update)
Tiny Tim is the smallest foal born to us. He was
18” tall and 20 #. We were out in the barn and suddenly we looked into the
nearest field and JuJu was lying down with her legs in the air. Fearing
something had happened to her, we rushed over and at that very moment, Tiny
Tim appeared. He is a beautiful dark gray with garters on his front legs.
We had expected JuJu to foal in May, then the months went on and when we had
her ultrasounded the second time, the veterinarian said she was just
not as far along as first thought. In looking back at her previous
birthing records, we saw that she had had a 13 month pregnancy before.
Tiny Tim is extremely friendly and will walk anywhere with our young
grandsons who are about his size. Many a tear will fall when he is
sold. He will be ready to go by Christmas and wouldn’t he make the
perfect gift for a special someone!

JuJu is a nice jennet who is a good mother and whose
2007 foal, Tiny Tim, is a favorite of all who visit the farm. JuJu is
a graceful jennet with good conformation and a good figure for a jennet who
is 10 years old. When we look at the herd in the field, it is hard to
tell her from one of our yearlings. She is bred back to our white jack for an August 2008
foal. She is confirmed in-foal by ultrasound.

TSB Full Moon Spot O Cappucino
DOB: 7-21-07
Dam: TSB Full Moon Chocolatta, dark brown, 31 ½”
Sire: G&D’s Little Artic Man, white with a few
gray spots, 31 ½”
Cappucino is a beautiful jack foal, looking the most
like his sire of any born this year. He has gray ears, a gray stripe down
his back and a few gray spots scattered here and there. He is going to be
small like his sire and dam and we expect him to mature out at no more than
31 ½”. Artic Man has a lot of white in his background and always
throws spots, so if you like those spots, Cappucino will most likely throw
them for you too. Cappucino is very healthy, has nice straight legs, and a
personality to win you over. He can be weaned in December. Imagine the
delight he could bring to someone with a big red Christmas bow on his neck.

TSB Full Moon Luna |

TSB Full Moon Luna
dark brown *NLP
DOB: 7-8-07 - 29 1/2" at 4 months
Dam: Windcrest Little Trudy, dark brown, 33”
Sire: PMF Dark Moon Walker, dark brown *NLP, 31 ½”
Luna was born late on a Sunday afternoon, right on
target for her due date. We had hoped for a dark brown and we got it, a
gorgeous little jennet with a small white star on her forehead and a dark
muzzle. When the day time weather is nice, we give the jennets the option
of foaling inside the barn or out in the field and Trudy decided to have
Luna at the farthest corner of the field. It was quite a walk getting them
to the barn, with Fred carrying Luna most of the way. Luna, like all of
our foals, is very friendly.
She is losing her foal coat and is going to stay dark.
Luna, who just loves
people and attention, is weaned and ready to go. Current pictures coming
soon. Sold

Trudy is a fine jennet, but is a little swayback.
She has had a lot of nice foals, but she has “lost her figure”. She is very
gentle and a wonderful mother. She is bred back
to our white jack for an August 2008 foal and we are betting on spots.

TSB Full Moon Rapunzel Razor |
|

|
|
TSB Full Moon Rapunzel Razor
DOB: 5-7-07 - 29 1/2" @ 6 months
Dam: Sutherlin’s Little Emily Sue, black/brown,
*NLP, 33 ½”
Sire: Mack Henry Toby, sorrel, 33 ½”
We think Razor is an extraordinary jack foal and we
cannot say enough about him. His mother is the most interesting miniature
we have ever owned and we call her Rapunzel because of her long hair.
She is a beautiful dark brown with long hair and mane, and we have not yet
seen her forthcoming winter coat. While Razor does not have hair as
long as hers, it is obvious that he will inherit her genes and already as a
foal, he has a longer coat and mane than most. You can see in his
photo that he is losing his foal coat and will be dark like his mother.
The long haired donkeys are unusual, and if you want to add this gene to
your herd, Razor is the jack for you. It will be very hard for us to
let him go, and the temptation is to keep him, but since we have two herd
sires and also his dam, we are going to sell him to become “your future herd
sire”.
